Steve started his career in financial services 14 years ago, after receiving his degrees in finance and applied economics from Florida State University (Go Seminoles). Steve went on to spend a few years as a financial planner as a captive agent with Securian. After spending more than 3 years working for both a major insurance company, Steve decided he wanted the best of both worlds, so he decided to go independent.
Thus leading him to forming Webb Capital Money Management in 2009. He is now able to offer his client’s independent advice. Steve is dedicated to working for his clients and not a product manufacturer.
Steve has a very specialized skillset when it comes to helping families plan for how they are going to pay for their childrens college. He has 9 years of experience in working in colleges to see how financial aid is awarded, in both public and private colleges that use both the FAFSA and CSS to calulate their EFC.
He also offers the following services: tax management strategies, retirement distribution strategies, investment management including managed portfolios, 529 plans, Roth IRAs and Individual IRA’s, annuity products and life, health and disability insurance. He also works with businesses and offers 401k plans, employee benefits, simple IRA’s, buy/sell strategies and other tax advantaged opportunities.
While at Florida State, Steve was a member of the presidential dean’s list, the comicron delta epsilon honor society, and was a member of the swim team while competing in the distance freestyle and Individual medley events. Steve is also an active member in the Varsity club at Florida State. Steve is still very active in the sport of swimming as he serves as the Head Coach of the Rhodes College Men's and Women's Swimming/ Diving team. Steve enjoys golfing, swimming, and attending local sporting events. Steve resides in Germantown with his wife Tjersti, his sons Steve III and Ayden and their dog Charlea.
